Bring it all together with Figma

Much of today’s workforce is working remotely (and at a quicker pace than ever before). In this environment, real-time collaboration is a must. Our team has benefitted from using Figma, a cloud-based design tool. Here are a few of the amazing advantages we’ve experienced.

Keeping things moving.

Up to 500 people can work in the same file at once. Edits are immediately visible to everyone. Users can see the live cursors of anyone who is working in a file to prevent confusion, and they can also type a message that will appear right on the screen for someone’s immediate attention.

Sharing is caring.

This real-time collaboration isn’t limited to your organization. Clients, partners, and vendors can also review an agency’s work and leave comments. This means that in a time crunch, they can request a change as the agency is working and designers can apply the update just as fast. And files and assets can be exported in a number of formats, simplifying the process of handing designs off to other vendors.

Seeing things clearly.

Comments from both internal and external stakeholders are easier to understand in Figma than many other platforms. First, users can highlight the exact area of a piece to which their comment refers. Second, they can tag specific users to address their comments. This clarity keeps projects moving forward.

Getting on the same page.

Figma also enables greater consistency across projects and team members. Design components and styles can be saved in a library for convenient access and reuse. Publishing any changes to these elements in the library will update them across files, preventing errors and saving time.
