As the site of Campbell University’s basketball, volleyball, and wrestling programs, Gore Arena needed a lobby that echoed the passion and vibrancy found inside the venue. We designed a sleek space that felt exciting and on-brand, providing an electrifying experience that starts before you even enter the facility — thanks to a giant camel that’s visible from the exterior.

Home of the Fighting Camels, the interior of this 3,000-seat arena inside the Pope Convocation Center had undergone multiple updates since its dedication — but the lobby remained unchanged. Campbell University requested a refreshed design for the lobby with a clean, timeless look and feel. We delivered a space that highlighted the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of its athletic programs.

creative concept and execution

Once the client chose a direction from the concepts we provided, we orchestrated a comprehensive construction plan in collaboration with the Facilities Department and external vendors to ensure the space met all preparation requirements for installation. The plan included tasks such as drywall measurement and selection, electrical layout planning, and determining appropriate paint colors.

The main entry proudly features a 15-foot camel that was thoughtfully designed, produced, and installed. The lobby, landing areas, and a new legacy wall honoring the outgoing President of Campbell University now have custom black paneling that unifies spaces throughout the arena.

Every detail of the installation was executed to perfection, from construction preparation to equipment setup, graphic production, and final installation. Our ability to problem-solve and pivot on-site allows us to refine the environment in real time — elevating outcomes for our clients.
